About this policy
African Health Access Network (AHAN) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization based in Apple Valley, Minnesota. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through africanhealthaccess.org and related inquiries. It does not govern patient records held by hospitals or other organizations.
Information you provide
When you complete our Volunteer Interest form, we receive your name, email address, city and country, skills or areas of interest, availability, and any optional message. Our Partnership Inquiry form collects an organization name, contact person's name, email, organization website, type of partnership, and a description of the proposed collaboration. We also receive information you choose to provide when you contact us by email, telephone, or mail. If you use an available member-account feature, Wix processes the information needed to register and sign in.
Please provide only information relevant to your inquiry. Do not send patient records, medical histories, payment-card details, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal information through these forms. The website is not a channel for medical care or emergencies.
Website information and cookies
Our website is hosted on Wix. Wix and its service providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, and security logs to deliver and protect the website. Authorized AHAN personnel may access information needed to handle your inquiry. AHAN does not sell or rent contact information and does not share volunteer or partnership inquiry details with collaborating organizations. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect rights, safety, or the security of our services.

Information may be stored in Wix systems and in the communication systems AHAN uses to handle your inquiry. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information, but no online transmission or storage method is completely secure.

Our inquiry forms are intended for adults contacting AHAN about volunteering, partnerships, or our work. Please do not submit personal information about children through these forms. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted information so we can review and address it.
